Botanical Illustration in the Gardens
Join in on one of today’s hottest decorating and painting trends: floral botanical paintings. Antique botanical prints sell for thousands of dollars in galleries and antique shows, but you can learn to create your own masterpiece using the beautiful gardens at Planting Fields. In this workshop you will learn: steps to drawing realistic flowers; optimal composition choices; bringing your botanical to life with shadows, depth and highlights; mixing realistic floral colors; painting technique; and adding the details that matter.
