The Hay Barn 1915
The Hay Barn’s large central room was used for
grain storage; the north wings housed horse stalls, a harness room
and a boarding house; the south wings consisted of a silo, dairy and
wagon house.
The Haybarn will be renovated and developed into the
highly anticipated Planting Fields Visitor’s Orientation Center
and house the archives for the New York State Long Island Park System.
To date, Phase I of the rehabilitation project of the exterior has
been completed. For more information
